Thunderstorms and lightning are set to cover the UK today after Thursday became the hottest day of the year.
Storms are expected to bring heavy rain, lightning and hail - a big difference from yesterday's weather.
Two yellow weather warnings for thunderstorms are in place for much of the UK from Thursday to Saturday, warning of disruption due to flooding, lightning strikes, hail and wind.
It comes after a heatwave hit the country earlier this week, with highs of 33C registered in parts of the UK.
Yesterday was the hottest day recorded so far in 2020.
Under eased lockdown restrictions, Britons can enjoy the heat and visit parks, beaches and, when adhering to social distancing measures, see friends and family.
Speaking about the reasons behind the hot spell, Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Dan Suri said: “We quite often see warm, southerly air from the continent bringing these high temperatures to the UK in summer, however this week, the air across the UK has arrived from the Atlantic.
"This Atlantic air will descend and warm up as it moves across the UK and this in combination with clear skies and strong late-June sunshine, we’re seeing temperatures rise.”
However this could change soon as temperatures are set to drop by about 10C in some areas of the country.
Met Officer forecaster Alex Burkill told Mirror Online: "Friday will be another hot day, but less hot than yesterday in many places."

The Met Office has two thunderstorm warnings out which cover pretty much all of the UK because of a risk of torrential downpours - with hail, frequent lightning and heavy rain expected.
Mr Burkill said: "This marks the transition to something more changeable as we go into the weekend.

"We are going to see spells of rain, stronger winds and temperatures are going to be less hot."
The forecaster said some places will see temperatures dropping by 10C - remaining mainly in the low-20s.
Today:
Early showers and thunderstorms in western and southern parts extending north and east with some torrential downpours, lightning and a chance of hail. Sunshine between. Remaining very warm in the west but still hot and humid across much of England.
Tonight:
Humid with thunderstorms in central, northern and eastern UK continuing northeastwards with further torrential downpours. Some further showers or rain, though less torrential, moving into southwest UK later.
Saturday:
Early heavy rain and residual thunderstorms across the far northeast clearing slowly. Otherwise, showers or spells of rain and a few sunny spells. Breezy and cooler than of late.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Turning fresher and breezier though remaining unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain for many, the heaviest and most frequent of these expected for northern and northwestern areas.
