Treak or treaters will need to wrap up warm as temperatures hit a chilling -3C this Halloween.
The mercury is set to plummet tomorrow (Thursday) before Britain sees the return of more rain this weekend.
The Met Office predicts that temperatures will drop as low as -3C in parts of northern Scotland by the early hours of tomorrow.
Luckily temperatures are expected to pick up by the evening as trick or treaters head outside, the Mirror reports.
The recent dry spell is then set to end this weekend as heavy downpours hit much of the UK with some areas expected to flood.
A Met Office spokesman told The Sun : "On Halloween , there will be a south west, north east split with northern and eastern parts seeing mostly dry and sunny spells.
"But south and western areas will be cloudy with patches of rain. By the evening as trick-or-treaters head out, that cloud will spread to more north eastern parts of Wales.
"But it will be foggy adding an eerie feel to the evening and night."
Tonight is expected to be cloudy and wet in Wales, southern and south-west England - but it will be chilly with clear spells elsewhere.
Rain will spread northwards into Northern Ireland, central and south-east England overnight leading to a mostly cloudy morning.
Outbreaks of rain are forecast for England, Wales and Northern Ireland tomorrow but Scotland will be mostly dry and cloudy with the odd bright spell in the north.
Rain will spread into southern Scotland after noon but it will remain dry in the north.
