UK weather forecast: When showers could hit as more sunshine forecast by Met Office

The warm and sunny weather is set to continue but the Met Office has warned that showers could be on the way later this weekend.

Today (April 24) will be a mixture of cloudy conditions and sunny spells for many, with plenty of sunshine forecast for Bristol.

Despite the small chance of a shower in the South West, temperatures are set to peak at 23C.

It will then be similar conditions on Saturday but there will be a higher possibility of some rain on Sunday and Monday.

"Mostly bright on Sunday, though a few showers around later.

"An increased risk of showers on Monday, especially in east."
