An early mist along North Sea coasts will clear but sunny spells will be few and far between, according to the Met Office .

These showers across north and east Scotland will merge tonight giving spells of rain.
But elsewhere the downpours will slowly ease with a chilly morning for many on Tuesday - but clear skies.
