Britain looks set for a sunny day today before the weather once again takes a turn for the worse, with snowfall possible next month.
The Met Office has predicted bright and dry conditions for most of the UK today, bringing a welcome break from the recent wet weather.
The organisation has also raised the prospect of snow showers in its long-range forecast for November 12 to November 26.
The weather outlook states: "Unsettled conditions look more likely, giving showers or longer spells of rain, with snow possible at times on high ground in the north."

Most parts of the UK can expect to enjoy a day of sunshine on Tuesday - with just a few clouds in the south west and a chance of showers in the south east of the country, the Met Office says.
The pleasant autumnal weather is a stark contrast to the recent heavy rain which caused flooding and disruption across the UK on Friday and Saturday last week.
Met Office spokesman Greg Dewhurst said: "It's going to be a sunny day for pretty much most of the country.
"It's going to be cloudy across south-west England, and there could be one or two showers in the south east."
Despite the sunny weather, the Environment Agency still has 66 flood warnings - meaning flooding is likely - and 80 alerts - meaning it is possible - in force today.
Since the clocks went back on Saturday night, the sun will rise at just before 7am and sunset will be around 4.40pm.
Temperatures in London will peak at 12C by mid-afternoon, rising from around four degrees in the hours before sunrise.
The Met Office predicts increasing clouds through Wednesday with intermittent rain in the west, and much the same on Thursday.
Heavy rainfall is forecast for Friday, though the temperature will be milder.
Persistent rain last week led to several football matches being cancelled, train delays and rivers bursting their banks.

The Environment Agency issued 82 flood warnings and 117 flood alerts - with the highest rainfall total of 122mm recorded at Libanus in South Wales.
The downpours were particularly bad in northern England and the east Midlands, where 25 to 60mm of rain fell in the 30-hour period leading up to Saturday."
