Brits will enjoy four days of sunshine after torrential downpours hit the country at the weekend, the latest forecast says.
Highs of 21C are expected in London and temperatures around 19C along the southern coast this week.
Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin said the mercury on Monday could reach 22C in the south, particularly focused on Southampton, Hampshire.
On Tuesday, the air will feel fresh in the morning, with temperatures falling to single figures even in urban areas, Mr Deakin said.
But as the day progresses, Brits will enjoy highs of around 20C, he explained.
However, some parts of the country will not see the warm weather at all, as strong winds are set to hit northern England and Scotland.

The forecaster said: "The winds are really picking up through Tuesday evening in the north-west as there is another weather front approaching."
He said there could be gales of up to 60mph in parts of the north-west on Tuesday night.
The south of England will remain mainly dry and sunny, while the north will be windy, with possible rainfalls at times, Mr Deakin said.

Met Office forecaster Oli Claydon said that on Wednesday a band of rain will move down from Scotland into the east.
The rest of the week will remain unsettled in the north, but southern areas will continue to enjoy highs of over 20C.
Meteorologist Marco Petagna added that the weather will start to feel more autumnal towards the end of this week.
He said: "Forecast models show potentially very blustery and wet conditions on Thursday, in particular for the North and East, with another wet and windy episode at the weekend."

Currently, the Environment Agency has one flood alert in place for England, meaning flooding is possible and residents should be prepared.
That alert is in place for the River Burn between Southgate and Waterden to Burnham Thorpe.
It comes after large parts of the UK were drenched in a 12-hour deluge on Sunday amid a Met Office yellow weather warning for rain.
