
The UK will experience a week of changeable weather as cloudy conditions and rain give way to bright spells.
Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to stay in the low 20s for much of the south and southeast of England.
According to the Met Office, there will be widespread low cloud with drizzle on western hills on Tuesday, with some bright spells mostly in the south and east.
After a bright start across Scotland rain will move northeastwards with some heavy bursts in the northwest.
Overnight, rain will move southeastwards across Scotland and Northern Ireland before reaching England later.
Clear spells and showers are expected to follow, with it turning chilly in places. The south is forecast to be mild and cloudy.
Patchy light rain is forecast for England and Wales on Wednesday, though it is expected to clear all but the far southeast by evening, where it will feel warm.
The Met Office said it is likely to be bright and breezy in the north, with a few showers.
The outlook for the rest of the week is mostly fine and dry in the south, with sunny days and chilly nights.
The weather is expected to turn more unsettled and windier in the north, withs one rain or showers at times.
