Brits will bask in what could be the hottest day of year tomorrow after Euro 2020 fans enjoyed a scorching Saturday.
Tomorrow afternoon the mercury will soar to heights not yet seen in 2020, coinciding perfectly with England's first home.
As the Three Lions run out onto the turf of Wembley alongside Croatia the temperature will be edging up out of the mid-twenties.
Come the final whistle a stretch of the South East and London will be enjoying figures just shy of 30C.
Aside from a few cooler areas on the coast in the South West, North Wales and northern Scotland, the whole of the UK will be comfortable in the 20s.
If the 29C mark is met, then parts of the UK will be hotter than holiday hotspots including Ibiza and California.
It will also top 2021's previous warmest day, which saw the mercury climb to 28.3C (83F) in Northolt, north London, on 2 June.
Steven Keates, a forecaster at the Met Office, predicted the temperature tomorrow will fall just short of the record.
"It will be a widely warmer and more humid day tomorrow, compared with today," he told The Mirror.
"Today the highest temperature was 24.6C in Bournemouth. Tomorrow we'll quite widely see conditions several degrees warmer than today.
"It will be 25C or 26C in eastern Scotland, probably 24C for the east of Northern Ireland. Many inland areas of England will reach 24C to 26C.
"North West Scotland will see more cloud and the rain, maybe just 14C or so in Stornoway.
"It's possible Scotland and Northern Ireland could see their warmest day of the year. 28.3C is the temperature to beat in the UK, it might just beat it, but I think it'll just fall short."
Bright sunshine and blue skies will dominate in the majority of the country, with not a cloud in the sky for those in South Wales and the south of England.
A thin band of light cloud will push in from the north east of the Isles and make their way slowly south east throughout the day.
So far Saturday has proved to be a vintage June day.
Earlier this afternoon Wales fans watched their team make a good comeback against a strong Swiss team, finishing things off at 1-1 while the mercury hovered around the 20C mark.
England had the best of it, with blue skies and 25C max temperatures in the South East providing cold comfort for those who watched the test cricket team collapse against New Zealand.
The warm weather and sun will continue into next week through to Wednesday, when the temperature record could be beaten yet again in London.

Dry with long clear periods across many parts. A few fog patches forming in the south. Cloudier for parts of the north, especially the far northwest where some light rain or drizzle is likely.
Sunday:
Plenty of sunshine across most areas. Very warm generally; hot in parts of the south and east. Cooler and cloudier in the far northwest with some rain, perhaps heavy later.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Fine and dry for most at first. The northwest cloudier with rain and strong winds at times. Very warm or hot in the south perhaps with thundery showers by Wednesday.
