Brits are facing a "double-barrelled" storm this week with warnings of a return to autumn-like weather.
There will be wind, rain and possibly some hill snow as temperatures are set to drop to zero degrees in some regions overnight.
The recent 'spring-like' weather will come to an abrupt end with stormy conditions and gale force winds set to sweep across the country as the week unfolds.
The Met Office predicts rain in some parts today after a spell of cold and frost in the morning.
This is expected to spread across the north and will be heaviest across Scotland.
Forecasters say the UK will be faced with the "unsettled" weather by the middle of the week, with rain and strong winds set to batter the country on Wednesday.

Jim Dale, meteorologist for British Weather Services, told the Express: “This is a fairly major system which we expect to affect the UK from Tuesday into Wednesday, it may be something we issue a warning for.
“We are expecting severe gale-force gusts in exposed regions later on Tuesday and into Wednesday.
“This system, which is a double-barrelled low-pressure organisation, has got some venom and is going to keep people on their toes."
Meteorologist Aiden McGivern told the Sun the country was facing 'a return to autumn' which will see a return to wet and windy weather.

Yesterday, temperatures fell in some parts to lows of minus five, which followed a long stint of sub-zero temperatures across many parts of the UK.
It followed record temperatures in February that saw both the highest and lowest temperatures of winter.
Lows of -23C were recorded in Aberdeenshire on February 11, while the hottest day of the year was on February 24 when the mercury rose to 18.4C in Suffolk.
Temperatures will be warmer in the daytime today but the weather is expected to be rainy in many central and northern parts.
Flooding remains a risk in some areas and the Environment Agency has issued a single flood warning, meaning 'immediate action is required' on the River Burn in Norfolk.
There are also 19 less severe flood alerts for England meaning people be prepared.
