A danger-to-life weather warning for flood-hit Wales is in place as the UK faces another drenching, with three weeks' worth of rain forecast to fall in just two days.
A severe amber alert for downpours has been issued for central Wales until 10am today.
It reads: "Fast flowing or deep floodwater is likely, causing danger to life,
"Spray and flooding probably leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
"A good chance some communities cut off by flooded road
"Power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses likely"
Three yellow weather warnings for rain are also in place for parts of the southwest and northwest of England, as well as large swathes of Wales until noon.
In Wales, the average rainfall for March is 117mm, but the worst affected areas could see three-weeks worth of rain in just over 24 hours.
Meteorologist Greg Dewhurst told the Mirror Online : The ground is already saturated and with all the rainfall we have had over recent weeks it is likely to lead to further flooding in places."
Meanwhile, Bristol residents should wake to a wet start, with 60 per cent chance of rain from 7am.
By lunchtime the downpours should have cleared, when temperatures will peak at 11C.
