UK weather charts show 'late blast of summer' and 'scorching' start to September

New weather charts have given fresh hope of a 'late blast of summer' with temperatures of 26C forecast.

The latest weather charts from Netweather.tv reveal what could be a stunning start to September, with temperatures between 20C-26C expected next Saturday (September 4)

According to a weather expert at the BBC, the start of September is looking very dry and sunny.

John Hammond, of Weathertrending and formerly of the BBC and the Met Office, said, as reported by the Birmingham Mail: "Many of us can look forward to some fine weather, so don't put away your garden furniture just yet.

"A late blast of summer sunshine is on the menu. It will be late summer at its best, with a sunnier finale to a dull August.

"The mid-20s is possible by midweek, with the fine weather holding on for the weekend and for a few more days into September for most."
