As the nation prepares to wake up to yet another chilly start with mist blanketing areas, temperatures in some parts of the country will hit freezing point.
Parts of East Sussex face waking up to temperatures around -2C this morning, with some parts of Scotland hitting -3C on thermometers.
The Met Office predicts that while the UK will face a blanket of cloud as they wake up, there will be a slight glimpse of sun breaking through adding a gentle boost to the temperature.
Across many parts of the country, the mercury will gradually get higher throughout the day as the clouds disappear, before making room for a slight drizzle.

The North East of England and parts of Scotland will see longer spells of sun, with slightly warmer temperatures while Northern Scotland faces scatterings of rain and strong winds.
As the day continues, areas over eastern and central England will remain dry and cloudy with the odd sprinkling of rain, while Scotland will be hit with patches of fog.
Cities such as Newcastle, Liverpool and London however will see temperatures hit double figures once clouds begin to disperse towards late afternoon.

While the afternoon turns into evening, patches of mist will begin to form across wide areas of the country, leaving Britons facing a grey and overcast night, while some will enjoy clear skies.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Going into April, settled conditions are likely to continue in southern and eastern areas, where a good deal of dry and bright weather will occur.

"The weather in the northwest will be changeable and unsettled, and there is a slight possibility that some of the wet and windy weather may push southwards into central areas at times, allowing clearer but showery weather into the northwest. Conditions look to be drier than average for most.
"Temperatures are expected to be near to or milder than average, with any cooler interludes likely to be short-lived, and mostly in the north."
The news will come as joy for many as Brits prepare to face their first weekend out of the third national coronavirus lockdown in the coming weeks.
Currently, stage one of the government's roadmap out of lockdown means that schools are nearing the end of the term, with children preparing to break up for the Easter holiday.
Stage two out of lockdown comes into place towards the end of next week, as socialising restrictions begin to ease across England, meaning Brits will be able to reunite with loved ones for the first time since before Christmas.
