UK weather: Bank holiday Monday to see scattered showers but Bristol will miss worst of it

This bank holiday Monday will see a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers, these mostly in the north and east of the region.

It will feel cool, and become windy in the far southwest later, with The Weather Channel reporting it will be mostly cloudy.

We can expect maximum temperatures of 17C. The morning will be dry and become brighter towards midday.

However forecasters predict heavy rain at midday followed by dry but cloudy with bright spells all the way up to around 7pm.

Across the rest of the country there will be more than just scattered showers, according to The Met Office.

In the north of the country there will be sunny spells followed by showers, with a risk of thunder.

Make the most of the drier weather in the Bristol area, as more rain is expected as the week continues.
