UK weather: A dry Friday followed by a weekend of unsettled weather

After a dry Friday, the weather will again be unsettled this weekend with more rain on the way.

Across the UK, Friday will be much less windy than Thursday, with fewer showers.

Many places are staying dry and much milder for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, but more rain is arriving in the southwest later.

Over the weekend, the weather will be unsettled with outbreaks of rain and strong winds for all at times.

A cold start on Monday, otherwise mainly dry and bright, rain later in the northwest.

This is the weather forecast for Bristol:

Friday

Winds easing and starting mostly dry, with bright spells, though the possibility of a few showers. Thicker cloud and rain will push into Devon and Cornwall later in the day. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

An unsettled weekend with patchy rain and strong winds on Saturday. The wind easing on Sunday, though some heavier rain is likely. Monday should be drier and much brighter overall.
