UK urged to apologise to Cyprus torture victims

Greece's defence minister has called on the British government to apologise to the victims of the "Cyprus Emergency", an armed campaign in the 1950s to end colonial rule of the island that ended with it gaining independence in 1960.

While the UK has already agreed to pay out more than $1m in compensation, it still refuses to accept liability.
