Locals of a quiet, quaint village in England have been pushed to breaking point after a mega root fest and its massive amounts of moans have disrupted its peace.
Ahhh, nothing like the sounds of “UHHHHHHHH” in the morning, amirite?
Yep, in some peculiar news from our friends on the other side of the pond, locals of Allington — a village that’s listed to have a population of 897, located two hours north of London — reportedly have a bone to pick with Swingathon, a three-day festival dedicated to swingers in the UK.
You see, with a festival with so much ~fun~, including a range of activities such as entertainers, performances, play tents, sex games, foam parties, vendors, food and drink and that all jazz, locals claim that it has heard some kinky folks getting frisky!

Speaking to local news outlet, the Irish Star, an anonymous resident says locals have been complaining about “ear-splitting orgasms” and “loud moaning sounds” coming from the festival.
“We’re becoming known as the swingers capital of England just because of this festival, and that’s not a title we want. It’s mostly elderly people and families here, so you can imagine them spitting their tea out when they learned we were to be the home of Swingathon,” the anonymous resident dished.
“It’s usually the talk of the village. Some say let consenting adults do whatever they want to do, but I know many are not pleased that they have chosen here for such activities. It’s just a bit seedy and sleazy, isn’t it? Not for me, I’m afraid.”
But despite what the locals have been hearing and Allington’s new reputation, Swingathon founder Matthew Cole claims that Swingathon isn’t the massive sex fest everyone believes it is. In fact, Cole claims it’s “not a sex party, but rather a gathering of open-minded individuals where friendships and relationships can begin or thrive”.
“Contrary to some beliefs, there are no keys in bowls, seedy music, lecherous individuals or a high level of STIs amongst this community,” Cole told the publication.
“In fact, individuals within this community are respectful, conscientious, and more likely to practise safe sex or be regularly tested than the average person you might meet on a night out in a club.
“The team are passionate about normalising the sexual freedom that alternative lifestyles provide and continues to strive against prejudice and adversity to bring the community a safe and inclusive social, play and learning space.”
Swingathon first began in 2020 and has rapidly grown over the years. Per The New York Post, 2025’s sextivities attracted more than 1000 attendees.
Despite the complaints, it looks like Swingathon is gearing up for its 2026 event, which will take place from the 16th to the 19th of July.
Do with that information what you will…
