UK's most popular royal baby names revealed as Charles and Camilla miss top 10 spot

Many people take baby name inspiration from all over the place – from their favourite TV shows to looking at a list of the most popular names in the world.

It may come as no surprise that the British royals, who are a fascination of many people in the UK and around the world, are also a huge inspiration when it comes to baby names.

In the UK there are some Royal names, which tend to be quite traditional, that are more popular than others.

With the King's Coronation coming up, home and giftware company Wrendale Designs, using ONS data, has crunched the numbers to see which royal names are inspiring parents.

Surprisingly, even though it's King Charles III's big day, his name doesn't even make the top 10 list.

Instead, the name of his grandchild George, who is the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales, is the top pick for baby boys.

Father and son duo Prince Harry and Prince Archie come in third and second place respectively in the royal name list, with thousands of newborns sharing their names.

Meanwhile, when it comes to baby girls, Isla is the most popular royal-inspired baby names, sharing the name with Isla Phillips, the daughter of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly.

Coming in second place is the name Lily, following the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter Princess Lilibet 'Lili' Diana.

In third place is Mia, which is the name of the late Queen Elizabeth II's great-great granddaughter Mia Tindall.

Both Charles and Camilla finished just outside the top 10 spots, ranking 13th and 14th respectively.

‌"With the coronation just around the corner, and the royals in the spotlight even more than usual, it’ll be interesting to see if there’s an even greater surge in royal baby names in the coming months."
