UK police ask crime victims to hand over mobile phones

Victims of some serious crimes in the United Kingdom are being asked to hand over their mobile phones to the police.

This comes after the collapse of a number of sexual assault cases, when crucial digital evidence emerged much later.

But critics say this could discourage victims from coming forward.
