The sun took its time peeking through today as we wondered whether the cloudy conditions would offer a bit of respite from the intense heat that we've been experiencing this week.
As we reported yesterday, the temperatures of around 27C today mean that Glaswegians have been basking - or sweltering rather - in warmer climatic conditions than our counterparts in sunny European holiday spots such as Budapest, Paris and even Tenerife!
Naturally, loads of us out there have joined our fellow Scots - many of whom have seen the mercury rise to 29C - in taking to Twitter to share our feelings about the current weather situation, raising more than a few smiles in the process.
