UK has 10 millionaires unaware they're rich after not claiming Euromillions wins

The UK has 10 millionaires who don't know they're rich, after failing to claim their EuroMillions wins.

Four of them come from the Friday July 19 draw alone, with ticket holders in London, Northampton and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

And the clock is ticking because if you don't put your claim in and get it verified in time, the money goes to the lottery Good Causes fund instead.

You have a total of 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes in the UK, although most people claim within the first few days or weeks of finding out that they’ve won.

And it's surprisingly common for this to happen, with £122,500,000 worth of prizes handed to good causes rather than ticket holders last year alone.

The good news is you can even claim if you've lost your ticket - as long as you contact the National Lottery inside 30 days and pass the security checks needed to prove it was you who won.

The bad news is one big winner has just days left to pick up their prize before it's taken from them forever.
