UK election polls tracker: Conservative Party maintain steady 10-point lead over Labour in latest polling

The Tories are maintaining a steady lead over Labour as the general election approaches, polls show.

Boris Johnson's Conservative Party has a 10-point advantage over their nearest opposition, according to an average of surveys from the last seven days.

The poll of polls, compiled by PA Media, puts the Tories on 43 per cent, Labour on 33 and the Lib Dems behind on 13.

This marks almost a week of the Tories average lead being at 10.

Meanwhile the Brexit Party and the Greens both sit on three per cent.

It comes as a new YouGov poll showed that Labour's Brexit stance may be causing issues for the party, with Leave voters seemingly unimpressed by it.

Nearly half of Labour leave voters asked, 48 per cent, said a second referendum would be "a bad outcome".

However, despite lagging behind nationally, Labour was boosted yesterday by a poll which indicated it was mounting an election fightback in London seats.

The new figures come as the prime minister hosts a summit for Nato leaders, which has steered his attention from the election trail.

Meanwhile Labour has had a change of tact today to focus on cutting the cost of living and in a keynote speech, shadow chancellor John McDonnell said a typical family would save more than £6,700 a year from Labour policies.
