UK Covid LIVE: 25 to 29-year-olds to be offered jab from tomorrow in England while all adults in Wales to be offered vaccine

Over-25s in England are being called forward to get their Covid-19 vaccination from Tuesday, Health Secretary Matt Hancock has told MPs.

The Health Secretary made the announcement that all 25 to 29-year-olds will be eligible for the jab in a statement to the Commons.

It comes after First Minister Mark Drakeford announced earlier all adults in Wales will be offered a coronavirus vaccine by next Monday,

All four UK nations previously said they would offer a first dose to everyone over the age of 18 by the end of July.

It comes as Spain has reopened to vaccinated tourists from Monday as the country reclaims “its global leadership in tourism”.

“Spain is a safe destination,” the country’s health minister, Carolina Daria said. Previously Spain allowed European visitors who had a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours, but from Monday those visitors can take a cheaper antigen test.

Spain is still on the UK’s amber list, meaning returning travellers must self-isolate for 10 days.
