Two-thirds of adults in the UK have had both doses of the Covid vaccine, Health Secretary Sajid Javid has said.
Mr Javid tweeted on Wednesday: “We have beaten our target by almost a week - this is a huge achievement. Thank you to everyone who has come forward. The vaccine is our wall of defence against the virus.”
It comes as travellers wait for a new announcement on holidays from Mr Shapps amid speculation popular green list destinations Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca could be at risk of going back on the amber list, just weeks before schools close for the summer holidays.
