UK coronavirus LIVE: Covid-19 outbreak declared pandemic as tenth Brit dies

Ten Brits have now died after contracting coronavirus.

NHS England confirmed two further deaths were confirmed on Wednesday evening following an announcement by the World Health Organisation declaring Covid-19 a pandemic.

A total of eight people have now died in the UK from the disease, while two have died abroad, a man who was a passenger on the virus-hit Diamond Princess cruise ship and a woman in her fifties who was diagnosed after travelling to Bali.

The 135 Britons stranded on board the coronavirus-hit cruise ship are due to land on UK soil on Wednesday evening.
