UK Coronavirus LIVE: Brit toll hits 36 with 13 new cases as Scotland confirms first patient with Covid-19

Thirteen new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the UK, bringing the total to 36.

Scotland confirmed its first case on Sunday evening after 15 more patients had been diagnosed across the country over the weekend.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said the Covid-19 pathogen is likely to "spread a bit more" in the UK as he visited Public Health England to discuss the outbreak.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said ealier that the UK had not ruled out following China’s lead in shutting down cities should the Covid-19 outbreak escalate into a pandemic.
