Wales has relaxed some lockdown measures (Picture: PA)

The UK is "not out of the woods" and will live with coronavirus for some time as the death toll passes 31,000, Environment Secretary George Eustice has said.

Speaking at the Downing Street press conference on Friday, Mr Eustice said that there would be "no dramatic change overnight" after Wales announced some easing to its own lockdown measures.

Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford announced some garden centres, libraries and tips could reopen on Friday and eased restrictions on exercise but as officials beg Brits to remain indoors this weekend, Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden warned "the situation remains exactly as it has been for several weeks".

It comes as th Government revealed it missed its 100,000 tests a day target for the sixth day running as the death toll increased by 626 to 31,241.
