BA to roll out digital vaccine passports as UK records 4,618 new Covid cases and 52 deaths

The UK recorded 4,618 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday and 52 deaths, official government figures show.

It comes as British Airways say they will introduce digital vaccine passports in time for the planned reopening of international travel in May.

The airline will ask those who have had two doses of a coronavirus vaccine to log their vaccination details with their BA app.

They also said they would reintroduce free snacks and water for economy passengers.

Scottish Labour have said passengers are bypassing the Scottish Government’s hotel quarantine system by flying from other airports in the UK.
