
Boris Johnson has said the Government will proceed with “maximum caution” when it comes to easing the coronavirus lockdown, with his spokesman adding that any changes next week will be "very limited".
It comes after Nicola Sturgeon called on the UK to employ "extreme caution" over any easing of lockdown restrictions, as she warned that dropping the "stay-at-home" message could be "potentially catastrophic".
Mr Johnson has been reviewing the UK’s lockdown with Cabinet ministers ahead of a widely-reported expected relaxation of measures next week, due to be announced on Sunday.
It comes as people across the UK clap for the healthcare heroes on the frontline of the pandemic.
