UK coronavirus LIVE: Brits head to beauty spots as hundreds more die with virus

People have been heading to beauty spots despite being told to "think carefully" before travelling on the first weekend since coronavirus lockdown measures were partially eased in England.

The Peak District National Park begged people not to visit as car parks filled up on Saturday morning.

It came as the coronavirus death toll in UK rose by 468, bringing the total number of deaths to 34,466.

Earlier, Hartlepool Council became the latest local authority to defy the Government by telling children to stay home from school on June 1 as the coronavirus lockdown eases. Activists also descended on London's Hyde Park protesting the lockdown.
