UK coronavirus latest: These are the locations of all positive COVID-19 cases as nearly 10,000 infected

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases continues to rise across the UK as the pandemic spreads.

The number of positive cases rose to more than 9,500 yesterday (Wednesday March 25) while the death rate slowed slightly, with a rise of 41 compared to 87 the on Tuesday, reports Cambridgeshire Live.

Positive cases of COVID-19 are up 1,542 in the past 24 hours, bringing the UK total to 9,529.

Of those cases, 719 are in Scotland, 7,973 are in England, 628 are in Wales and 209 in Northern Ireland.

Data published by the Scottish Government and Public Health England also breaks down the cases in by region, based on the registered postcodes of the patient.

They show the national picture across England and Scotland, with one local authority area breaking 250 cases for the first time so far.
