The number of people that have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK has reached a record daily total.
The government said that, as of 9am on Monday, there had been a further 58,784 lab-confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the UK.
It brings the total number of cases in the UK to 2,713,563.
A further 407 people have died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Monday, bringing the UK total to 75,431.
Separate figures published by the UK's statistics agencies for deaths where Covid-19 has been mentioned on the death certificate, together with additional data on deaths that have occurred in recent days, show there have now been 91,000 deaths involving Covid-19 in the UK.
However, the figures do not represent results from the whole UK due to data on deaths not being reported by Scotland on Monday.
There have been 2,434 patients admitted to hospital since Sunday bringing the total of coronavirus patients in hospital to 23,823.
There are currently 1,847 of those patients on ventialtors.
A total of 376 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 51,813, NHS England said on Monday.
Patients were aged between 26 and 102. All except 18, aged between 34 and 102, had known underlying health conditions.
The deaths were between December 20 and January 3, with the majority being on or after 29 December.
There were 11 other deaths reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.
