Sheffield boasts the most long-lasting lovers in Britain.
The home to two footie clubs – Wednesday and United – is THE place to be if you fancy a bit of extra time in the bedroom, a poll found.
A whopping 46 per cent of couples in the birthplace of Game of Thrones love god Sean Bean said their average sessions go on for more than 15 minutes.
Steel City’s neighbour Bradford was second, with 41 per cent enjoying more than a quarter of an hour of love-making at a time.
Preston and Bournemouth came joint third with 38 per cent breaking the 15-minute barrier.
Bolton couples were fourth with 37 per cent and Geordie star Cheryl’s hometown New-castle was joint fifth with Birmingham on 36 per cent.
But salty sea air is doing nothing for Portsmouth, where just 19 per cent manage more than 15 minutes, putting them bottom of the table.
The poll for Mattress firm Nectar Sleep also revealed 17 per cent of Brits dream about sex at least once a month.
But men are more likely to fantasise than women – 22 per cent of fellas dream of lovemaking compared to 13 per cent of females.
Nectar Sleep spokeswoman Angela Crouch said: “If you live in Sheffield, a good mattress
is essential.”
