UK braced for freezing temperatures as Met Office predicts sub-zero weather in latest forecast

The Met Office has warned Bristol is likely to see sub-zero temperatures well into this morning (March 29).

Even by 10am, 'feels like' temperatures in the city are expected to be -1C, before rising to a 5C high at 3pm.

The cold weather is the result of a blast of arctic air hitting the UK.

Skies are set to be cloudy with some sunny spells, with rain unlikely.

On Monday, the Met Office is predicting clouds throughout the day, 'feels like' highs of 6C and dry weather.

The forecaster said: "Sunday will stay dry and breezy with sunny spells at first. It may turn a little cloudier through the afternoon.

"Feeling cold in the wind. Maximum temperature 10C.

"The next few days will be cloudier than recent days but will stay mostly dry with winds easing on Tuesday."
