The UIDAI's new official Aadhaar App enables users to securely manage their digital identity through face authentication, biometric lock, and QR sharing without handing over a physical copy of the document. The app is set to replace the existing mAadhaar application.
With the introduction of the new app, many Aadhaar holders are wondering whether they need to transfer their details, create a new account or undertake any special process to move from the old mAadhaar app to the new platform.
According to the UIDAI’s social media post on X, “With enhanced functionality, improved interface, and smarter services, the New Aadhaar App is built to offer a seamless and secure digital experience for every resident. As the mAadhaar App retires soon, explore the next generation of Aadhaar services designed for convenience and trust.”
