Artist Therdkiat Wangwatcharakul will showcase his works at the second edition of the "Art Rotation Series" at 137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok, Sukhumvit 39, from Friday until March 14.

For this curated exhibition, the multi-award-winning artist who holds a master's degree in painting from Silpakorn University will be presenting 10 pieces of acrylic and oil-on-aluminium sheets from two collections. Titled "Memories Of The River", the first collection depicts vessels on the Chao Phraya River, while the second collection, "Rhythm Of Light And Shadow", focuses on the subtle interplay between light and shadow on old architecture to highlight its poetic beauty.

Famed for using oil on aluminium and at times oil on canvas, the 48-year-old creates art that brings to life the constant struggle of living in the everyday chaos of an Asian city. Evoking minimal urbanscapes, his socially relevant compositions feature mundane architectural detailing, weary commuters and stray dogs.

His works can be viewed at the Baan Borneo Club and Louie's Tiffin Grill, 26th floor, daily from 11am-8pm.
