Everyone's favourite cosy boot brand, UGG, has become the master of makeovers.
The cult Californian footwear company has reimagined its iconic boots several times over with clever high-fashion collaborations. In 2017, Jeremy Scott created a party-ready bejewelled collection, soon followed by Phillip Lim, who reinvented the UGG as a duck boot.
For autumn/winter 2018, the label partnered with avant-garde designer Y Project, to create unisex knee-high UGGs. The campaign went viral and the slouchy, crotch-grazing boots were bravely donned by celebrities like singers Dua Lipa and Rihanna.
Now, the next UGG reinvention is upon us. Streetwear brand Bape has collaborated with UGG for spring/summer 2019 to create UGG trainers.

The UGG x Bape Sneakers, which are modelled by rapper Lil Wayne in the campaign, retail at £220 and feature UGG's signature chestnut suede exterior with seam sheepskin details, all merged with a modern, exaggerated chunky outsole.

The UGG x Bape collaboration will be available to purchase from April 27 at the Bape Store in Selfridges.
