Ugadi was celebrated in Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi on Saturday.
Following the instructions given by the State government, Principal Resident Commissioner Praveen Prakash and Additional Resident Commissioner Himanshu Kaushik supervised the arrangements and participated in the celebrations.
They inaugurated and went around the stalls put up by AP Markfed, AP Civil Supplies, APCO, DWCRA, Girijan Cooperative Corporation and Lepakshi in the vicinity. They also participated in a cultural programme followed by the traditional “panchanga sravanam’ (almanac reading).
As part of the two-day event, Telugu film RRR would be screened in three shows at 10.30 a.m., 2 p.m. and at 10.30 p.m.
