UGA WR outlook for 2019

Continuing with our position-by-position breakdown of the Georgia football roster, let’s look at the UGA wide receivers.

A new season brings a new core of wide receivers for Georgia. Three of the top four wideouts from last year were selected in the 2019 NFL Draft, including last season’s leading receiver Riley Ridley, who was taken by the Chicago Bears. Fellow receivers Mecole Hardman and Terry Godwin went to the Kansas City Chiefs and Carolina Panthers respectively.

For the 2019 season, the wide receiver depth chart will look completely different, with only JJ Holloman remaining as a guaranteed security blanket for Jake Fromm.

The projected first team wideouts are as follows:

Outside receivers:

JJ Holloman

Tyler Simmons

Slot receiver:

Demetris Robertson/Kearis Jackson

On the second team, we look for George Pickens and Lawrence Cager to occupy the outside, with Dominick Blaylock taking the slot position.
