Former Georgia Bulldog wide receiver Terry Godwin has signed a deal to join the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad. Godwin was a seventh round draft pick for the Carolina Panthers. He was cut ahead of the season and has found a new home:
Godwin may get a chance to join Jacksonville’s active roster if a Jaguar receiver suffers an injury. For now, Godwin will learn the ropes of a new system and aim to improve one day at all. Best of luck to the Bulldog rookie!
At the University of Georgia, Godwin caught 134 catches for 1,800 yards over four seasons. He scored twelve total touchdowns, including a one-headed grab at Notre Dame. Godwin tweeted his excitement for his new opportunity:
