UGA’s Conley signs with Jags, already defending new QB on Twitter

Former Georgia Bulldog Chris Conley has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Conley, the WR departs from Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City, who may wish they had him next season amid the investigation into stud WR Tyreek Hill. Conley’s new QB is Nick Foles, who he took to Twitter to defend several days before his signing with the Jags:

The Jags struggled mightily at QB last season, with Blake Bortles failing to regain his 2017 form. Now, playoff stud Nick Foles will lead the Jaguars. Conley figures to be a big target for Foles, who thrived throwing the ball to Alshon Jeffery in Philly. The Jaguars must do a better job protecting the passer and establishing the run in 2019 in order to be a playoff contender.

Conley, who joined Thomas Davis as Bulldogs to sign for new teams, thanked his former team on Twitter:

The terms of Conley’s deal were no immediately available.
