After a stellar Early Signing Period, Kirby Smart and company shook up the recruiting world on National Signing Day. Georgia impressively flipped five-star wide receiver George Pickens, a Hoover, Alabama product, from Auburn and beat out Alabama for Clearwater, Florida tight end Brett Seither.
In celebrating the nation’s No. 2 (or first, depending on the publication) recruiting class, Georgia released an introductory video. The video features the Dawgs’ first commitment and the nation’s No. 1 prospect, Nolan Smith and Seither, the class’ final commit.
Also featured are five-star wide receiver Dominick Blaylock, five-star defensive tackle Travon Walker and Jermaine Johnson, the nation’s top junior college recruit.
The 2019 class filled large holes on the defensive line, addressed the backup quarterback issue and restocked the wideout position. The class consists of five, 5-star recruits and 24 signees overall, 14 of whom are enrolled on campus.
