UGA players, coaches square off in relay with surprise visit from Matthew Boling

On Monday, UGA’s official Twitter account posted a video that featured some of the team’s players squaring off against coaches in a 4 x 100 meter relay at the school’s track stadium.

Joining the coaches’ squad, taking Kirby Smart’s spot in the race, was standout UGA track athlete Matthew Boling, who broke the 100 meter high school record with a 9.98-second time.

While the coaches fell behind early to the younger, more athletic players, Boling helped pick up a lot of the ground at the end of the race, eventually taking first place and winning for his team.

As the season is set to start in just days, it’s good to see the Dawgs having a little fun while also sharpening their competitive edge that will be required for a championship run.
