UGA legend dissects rivalry with Bama

On Tuesday at SEC Media Days, UGA legend Herschel Walker spoke about the upcoming Dawgs’ season. One of the topics that came up was Alabama, and Walker shared some of his thoughts on how UGA should approach the Tide if they meet again this December.

Walker used a thought-provoking analogy comparing what he thinks the Dawgs’ strategy to be to his career as an MMA fighter.

“I’ve been in MMA now for eight years,” Walker said. “I’ve been fighting guys that are the best in the world. When I put a guy down I’m going to make sure he stays down. Not to be mean, I think that’s what Georgia has to do. When they’ve got Alabama down they’ve got to make sure Alabama stays down.”

Let’s hope coach Smart and the Dawgs take Walker’s advice and don’t let up if they gain another lead against the Tide.
