Georgia basketball head coach Tom Crean is promoting his PF Nicolas Claxton ahead of the 2019 NBA Draft on Twitter. Claxton has risen up draft boards with his defensive potential. Coach Tom Crean highlights just how much Claxton improved and why he expects him to continue to develop.

Crean emphasized how much improvement he saw from Claxton’s Freshman to Sophomore season in all aspects of his game. He thinks Claxton can continue to add to his offensive game and his frame:
Claxton will have to continue to gain weight to succeed in the more physical NBA. He’s still young and has a lot of room to add to his game, even though he already has many valued traits for the NBA. Added strength will help Claxton finish more And 1’s. Lastly, Crean took note of the high level of competition in the SEC, which had one of its best basketball seasons ever in 2018-2019. It’s great to see Crean going out of his way to support his players.
