The Georgia football Twitter account got a new name on Monday, ahead of kickoff for the 2019 season.
After being known as ‘FootballUGA’ on the social media platform for several seasons, the Bulldogs decided to switch it up and go with ‘GeorgiaFootball’ this year instead.
Though an explanation for the change has not yet been provided, one can infer that the media department likely wanted to simplify the brand’s appearance.
Regardless of the reason, this small and simple change should not be a problem, as fans took to the news well.
As long as the Dawgs continue to win on the field, they can name their Twitter account whatever they want.
