The Georgia football program gained a massive commitment from four-star offensive tackle Tate Ratledge on Monday and saw its 2020 recruiting stock skyrocket as a result.
After adding five-star outside linebacker Mekhail Sherman last Thursday, the Bulldogs picked up even more steam to start the new week.
Georgia now ranks No. 5 in the 247 Sports 2020 team rankings and is expected to climb even higher as the year goes on. This comes after sitting outside the Top 10 at the start of May and getting called out by more than a few Georgia Tech fans.
The Yellow Jackets temporarily passed the Bulldogs in the rankings thanks in large part to a plethora of three-star commitments. While Georgia had a higher ranking average overall, Georgia Tech had nearly double the number of players committed.
It sure was fun for the enemy in Atlanta while it lasted. However, the Bulldogs are now far beyond their arch rival and trending upward in the rankings.
