UGA football legend must wait make Hall of Fame

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced their most recent class of inductees. Georgia Bulldog and New England Patriots legend Richard Seymour was among the most recent finalists, but failed to make the class of 2020.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter Tweeted the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2020:

The Patriots drafted Seymour sixth overall in the 2001 NFL Draft and they weren’t disappointed. Seymour went on to win three Super Bowls (all in New England) and make five All-Pro teams. Seymour played eight seasons in New England and then four seasons for the Oakland Raiders.

He finished his career with an impressive 57.5 sacks as a defensive tackle. He recorded 496 tackles in his twelve season career.

Here was the full list of finalists for the class of 2020:

UGA legend Champ Bailey is the latest Dawg to make the Hall of Fame.  Bailey was inducted in last year’s class. Will Seymour be the latest Georgia Bulldog join Bailey in the Hall of Fame?

The 2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame class was: Tony Gonzalez, Ed Reed, Champ Bailey, Ty Law, Kevin Mawae, (Team Owner) Pat Bowlen, (VP Player Personnel) Gil Brandt, and Johnny Robinson. Seymour will have to hope for better luck next year, but these guys will be locks in 2021:
