Kirby Smart, the head coach of the Georgia football team, opened up about offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson’s reported injury on Thursday.
Wilson suffered an ankle sprain in Wednesday’s practice and is expected to miss at least a few weeks as a result, per Dawgs247.
“Isaiah got an ankle sprain,” Smart said on Bulldog Live on The Bulldogs Sports Network. “Isaiah’s a tough guy. We think he’s going to be okay, but we’ll keep on driving, keep on moving. We’ve got a lot of guys who’ve played there and kind of dealt with the same kind of injury last year with Andrew (Thomas). It’s frustrating for him. It’s frustrating anytime but when you’re in the trenches, that’s what happens.”

The Bulldogs play host to FCS foe Murray State Saturday before a date with Arkansas State next Saturday. After that, mighty Notre Dame comes calling for a battle between Top 10 teams.
Time will tell if Wilson can make it back to face the Irish, but as of right now, the chances seem slim.
