UGA defensive lineman Jordan Davis receives good news ahead of 2019 season

After enjoying a breakout freshman season, rising sophomore defensive lineman Jordan Davis suffered a workout related injury that kept him out of the Sugar Bowl against Texas.

However, Davis and the Georgia program received some good news on Monday. According to Mike Griffith of DawgNation, Davis is expected to be ready for spring practice.

The 6’6″, 320 pound Charlotte, N.C. product started four games last season but played in 11. Davis racked up 25 tackles, 6 solo tackles, and 1.5 sacks. He was also named to the FWAA Freshman All American Team alongside teammates Cade Mays and Isaiah Wilson.

The news of Davis’ health is especially important for a Georgia defensive line corp that graduated two stalwarts in Jonathan Ledbetter and Deandre Walker. Davis looks to play an important role in what should be a stout Georgia defensive line in 2019.
