On Tuesday, UGA football’s official Twitter account posted a video that put a spotlight on defensive line coach Tray Scott and how he believes the game of football translates to real life.
“Football, to me, is a game of life,” says Scott in the video. “Being able to go through the process as a young guy playing the game, and now coaching it, learning about things outside of the game, primarily going back to when things are not perfect. How you respond is why I really love it.”
It is refreshing for Dawg fans to hear that the coaching staff constantly reiterates to the players that there is so much more to football’s impact than simply what occurs on the grid iron, as it often times can be a metaphor for how we respond to adversity as human beings.
